How effective is Cologuard?

The safety and efficacy of Cologuard were based on a clinical study that included 10,000 patients. It found 92% of colon cancers and 69% of high-risk pre-cancers. However, Cologuard may produce false positive results. The clinical study showed 13% of patients without cancer tested positive. A colonoscopy test is recommended for verifying any positive results obtained from Cologuard.
